Maison Parenthese is a small collection of spaces above restaurant De Lieve in Patershol, Ghent. Two apartments, Antoinette and Renée and a private dining salon, Étienne Étienne, come together within a single address.
Designed by MTM Hospitality Group, it is not conceived as a hotel, but as a place to genuinely settle into the city.
How many apartments do you offer?
Maison Parenthèse comprises two apartments. Antoinette on the second floor and Renée on the third, along with Étienne Étienne, a private dining salon on the first floor. The address sits along De Lieve in Patershol, a short walk from the Gravensteen.
Who are the apartments suited for?
The apartments are well suited to couples, families and small groups looking to experience Ghent at their own pace. Antoinette accommodates up to six guests; Renée is more intimate, with a private terrace and views across the rooftops.

What makes Maison Parenthèse different from a hotel?
Each space at Maison Parenthèse is designed to feel residential rather than institutional, warm materials, considered proportions, a fully equipped kitchen. No reception desk, no fixed breakfast hours. Just the freedom of a well-designed address, in one of Ghent’s most atmospheric neighbourhoods.
Is parking available?
Public parking is available in the surrounding area. Reservation is not possible and charges may apply.
